Our Grants

Since 2005, the Arts & Humanities Council of Southwest Louisiana has helped distribute over $2 million in grants to local arts organizations. Our granting agencies include the City of Lake Charles (Lake Charles Partnership Grant), the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury (CPPJ Grant), Visit Lake Charles (Tourism Marketing Initiative Grant), and the Louisiana Division of the Arts (Louisiana Project Grant).

Purpose of Grants

The grants we administer are used locally and regionally to bring arts and humanities to the forefront of the Southwest Louisiana experience. Our grants directly fund operational and project expenses for arts organizations and are used to bolster tourism and improve the quality of life in our area through cultural enrichment.

Grants

The Lake Charles Partnership Grant is provided by the City of Lake Charles. The LCP Grant is used for projects and organizations needing project assistance inside the City of Lake Charles.

Projects that occur inside Calcasieu Parish are eligible for the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury Cultural Grant Funding. The CPPJ Grant funding is for projects only and does not fund organizational support requests.
