It’s our mission at the Arts & Humanities Council of Southwest Louisiana to support arts and culture initiatives, events, education, and organizations in the 5-parish area that bring a unique cultural experience to local citizens, and to help bolster tourism and economic growth right here at home!

Your contribution allows us to continue supporting countless individual artists and over 75 nonprofit arts organizations, including the Children’s Museum of SWLA, Lake Charles Symphony, MSU Banners Cultural Series, Henning Cultural Center, Imperial Calcasieu Museum, Lake Charles Little Theatre, and ACTS Theatre, among many others!

Central School Arts & Humanities Center
Central School provides partially subsidized space for arts organizations and individuals to rent for affordable rates to use as office space, studio space, or classrooms.

Arts & Humanities Council of Southwest Louisiana is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Your generous gift is tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
Of course! You can become a Friend of the Arts for $50 annually and Family of the Arts for $100 annually. There are also numerous recurring gift options if you so choose, or simply customize your own gift under the “Custom Amount” button on the donation hub.
It’s exactly what is sounds like! A one time donation is a singular gift to the AHC. A monthly donation is a recurring donation charged to your payment method each month. So to become a 337 member, you can give $337 one time/ per year or $28 monthly (or more if you’d like!).
Your donations go towards our general operating funds to purchase things such as: office supplies, space rental, event needs (stages, portable toilets, tent rentals, band fees), and any new projects or events we take on! This allows the staff and board to spend more time curating the best experiences possible for all of SWLA to enjoy!
