Who is eligible to apply?
Funded annually by the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury, applicants compete only with other organizations in Calcasieu Parish, so decisions about cultural priorities are made locally

Who is Eligible to apply?
All applicants must be domiciled in Calcasieu Parish.
What type of grant is available?
Eligible organizations may apply for ONE Project Assistance Grant for a specific art project. Grants request is $500 minimum and $5,000 maximum per applicant.
How are funding decisions made?
After the March 15, 2024, deadline, the Arts & Humanities Council receives the application, determines that the applicant and the proposal are eligible for funding, and that the application complies with grant guidelines. A community review panel reflecting the area’s ethnic, demographic, and geographic diversity and the artistic and administrative expertise needed to evaluate applications will then be convened to review the applications.
